ACCA Executive Director Announcement
May 15, 2023 Announcements FeaturedIt is with mixed emotions that we announce Wayne Morishita will be leaving the role of Executive Director of the Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA) at the end of May to spend more time with his family. We thank Wayne for his contributions during his time with the ACCA and for working collaboratively with the Board to determine the best time for his departure. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Wayne's leadership and advocacy have had a positive impact on the continuing care industry, and we are grateful for his guidance and support during this time of transition. Under his leadership, ACCA made significant contributions and advancements in the sector, including a full sector-wide review of continuing care, COVID-19 funding for operators, liability protection legislation, and more.
As a member-elected Board of Directors, we remain committed to supporting our membership and have developed a thoughtful action plan for ACCA operations during this transition. We will commence the recruitment process for a new ACCA leadership role, and additional details on the search will be shared in the coming weeks.
