Chartwell Unveils Newest Investment in Alberta's Retirement Communities

Feb 02, 2018

On January 18, Chartwell unveiled its newest investment in Alberta’s retirement communities. The Westcott retirement complex represents an investment of $48 million dollars in construction, employing over 150 construction workers and 45 permanent jobs once operational in winter 2019. The focus of the event however, was far from numbers and jobs.

Maxime Chamberlain, Vice-President Real Estate Integration, shared a vision of residents making new memories in the 137 light-filled suites, countless amenities and being active in the surrounding Ambleside - Windermere neighbourhoods. The architecture of the complex was inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie School of Design and is intended to celebrate the beauty of our local geography. The event was topped-off with greetings from Thomas Dang, MLA Edmonton Southwest and ceremonial signing of bricks to be installed in the complex.

The presentation centre is open to the public Monday -Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm at 102 16224 Ellerslie Road SW, Edmonton. Personalized tours are also available.
