Aging Well in Community Grant Program

The Ministry of Seniors and Housing has launched a new Aging Well in Community Grant Program!

Aging Well in Community Grant Program Details:

The grant supports initiatives that help Alberta seniors live safely and independently in their chosen communities.

Approximately $1 million in funding will be awarded annually through an open call for proposals. Recipients can access funding for up to 3 years. Organizations can apply for funding up to $100,000 per project.

Funding priorities will reflect the changing needs of a diverse seniors population. The 2018-19 grant funding streams are:

1. Aging in Communities;
2. Addressing Ageism;
3. Social Inclusion and Engagement of Diverse Senior Populations; and
4. Elder Abuse Prevention.

Proposals are welcome from not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, First Nations, Tribal Councils, Metis Settlements and research institutes.

Applications are due November 16, 2018.
