The title "Supportive Pathways" was chosen as each resident and their family will need ongoing "support". Each resident has a unique journey through the disease process, which results in differing "pathways" of care. This program strives to ensure skilled staff and a partnership with families to provide the resident with the highest quality of life possible. An exciting new program has been launched! As the populations ages and as the Baby Boomer generation hits 50+ in massive numbers, we realize that each and every person deserves a change to be healthy and happy, living each day to its peak. There is no doubt that moving and being physically and mentally active is the best way to prevent some of the conditions that we all want to avoid (Type II diabetes, obesity, and heart conditions, for example). Our new diploma program educates students in properly assisting older adults (50+) to be healthfully active, no matter what their capabilities and interests are at any given time. More Information
Have you considered web-based education in-services for your organization? The Brenda Strafford Foundation has developed a web-based program which may suit your needs...
The Brenda Strafford Foundation is pleased to introduce our Web-Based In-service Education Modules to help you with your organization’s compulsory in-service training and tracking.
We have recently made our web-based in-services accessible to some of our neighbouring Long Term Care facilities in Calgary who have received the product favourably. At the request of and in partnership with Wing Kei, a Chinese Long Term Care in Calgary, we looked into customizing the in-services for content as well as presenting the content in languages other than English.
We have included a pamphlet providing more information.
If your organization is interested, we would be happy to provide an on-line demonstration of the product at your convenience. Please visit http://www.inservices.ca to access our in-services demontration site. If you require further information, please fill out the feedback form on the website.
